Accident and Incident Reporting

All accidents and incidents are recorded digitally on the Famly app in line with Department for Education requirements. This ensures clear documentation, secure storage and instant communication with parents. Every entry is reviewed by senior staff to maintain the highest standards of safety, transparency and compliance.

CCTV for Safety and Security

We have CCTV installed in every room and all communal areas to enhance safety and security across the entire setting. Footage is stored securely and used strictly in accordance with safeguarding and data protection guidelines, providing an added layer of protection for children, staff and families.

Staff Trained to National Safeguarding Standards

Every member of staff completes comprehensive Level 2 safeguarding training which meets the requirements outlined in Annex C of Keeping Children Safe in Education. This training covers recognising the signs of abuse and neglect, understanding disclosures, responding appropriately to concerns, and knowing exactly how to report and record information in line with statutory guidance. It also includes safer working practices, online safety, the Prevent duty, professional boundaries and understanding the roles of external agencies involved in child protection.

By ensuring the entire team has this depth of knowledge, we create a consistent, confident and highly informed approach to safeguarding throughout the nursery. Staff are equipped to identify concerns early, follow correct procedures and work proactively to protect every child. This shared expertise strengthens our culture of vigilance and ensures safeguarding is embedded in daily practice, not just policy.
